WLC Door System

Since 1949, we've taken a "different, but better" approach to all our products, and the results of this philosophy are nowhere more evident than in our exterior door offerings.

Almost any supplier can provide products that serve, at least to some degree, the two main functions required of exterior door units- (1) to provide security/privacy and to furnish a barrier against the elements. We've designed our exterior door program to not only surpass industry standards, but to exceed your expectations.

We only use door frame components engineered and manufactured by Endura products. These products were designed to work together around a door panel to survive harsh weather elements and to keep the home free from rot and unsightly damage. These products work. Today, tomorrow, and for the long haul.

Door Sill System

Problem: Other door sills can chip, rot, rust, and warp. These flaws, in conjunction with their low-profile design and wide sill caps, result in water infiltration which often leads to damage to the structure.

Solution: "Z" Series Sill by Endura Products.
We build a better door unit from the ground up, and we begin that process with the "Z-Series" sill from Endura Products. By incorporating composite substrates with synthetic caps and nosings, this sill offers the best possible combination of quality, beauty, and value. The patented High-Dam design offers the best protection on the market against air and water infiltration. These are available in Mill Finish, Bronze, and Bright Brass finishes to match a wide variety of decors and hardware options. The composite wood-grain cap is low-maintenance and can be easily replaced if necessary. And, since no wood is used in the construction of these sills, they're warranted for life against rot. We carry a complete line of these sills in inventory for single, double, and triple units in both Inswing and Outswing models.

Door Bottoms

Problem: Air Infiltration between Door Bottom and Sill
With standard "fin" door bottoms, there is only a thin line of contact between the sill and the fin. As shown below, time and wear can warp the fins, resulting in a loss of contact between the door and sill. On a traditional door bottom with the "fin" or "finger" design, the fins do not create a consistent seal; this allows air and moisture infiltration.

Solution: Leading Edge Bulb Design Door Bottom
The Leading Edge Bulb Design provides a wider, stronger quality seal to keep back air and moisture. A continuous seal forms along the dam, creating maximum area of surface contact between the door and sill. The bulb also retains its shape far longer than a fin design, providing much longer lasting performance.

Door Frame System

Problem: Rotted Exterior Door Frames and Brick Mould
No matter how well a home is built, over time, water and insects will come in contact with standard wood exterior door frames. The natural wicking properties of wood lead to rotting of the door frame and brick mould from the bottom up, which in turn leads to poor performance. These problems can be remedied only with costly repairs.

Solution: Framesaver Door Frames
The composite, waterproof materials at the bottom of the Framesaver frame are impervious to water and insects. Brick MouldThey're fingerjointed onto the wood door frame through Endura's patented Framesaver technology. These frames machine and finish just like wood, and they even include a 90-day primer which allows some delay in painting once the product reaches the jobsite. And, they're guaranteed for life against rot and decay! With Framesaver, you get all the beauty and ease of use of wood without the problems.

Weatherstrip

Problem: Poor Weatherstripping
Weatherstrip provides the seal at the edge of the door and makes contact with the door when it is closed. In order to function properly, it must be resilient and durable. Weatherstrip with poor memory will crumble, bend, and remain stiff so that it becomes ineffective at preventing air and water leaks.

Solution: Endura Weatherstripping
Endura weatherstrip creates consistent compression every time and provides a long-lasting seal and protection against air and water infiltration.
